A portable meter is commonly used to measure the pH, mV, and temperature of substance in food-related applications, and dirty and wet environments in hydroponics, aquaculture, and educational applications. It has Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) for accurate readings, push-button capabilities at five points and auto-buffer recognition of US, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) standards for ease of use. It has a dual-screen, digital LCD display to view pH, mV, and temperature, and features a ready function to indicate when calibration is due, a hold function for reading and recording data, and an auto-off function for automatic shut-off after a period of nonuse.
